San Diego Teen’s Eid Project Brings Hope to Children After Mosque Attack
A San Diego teenager is being praised after organizing Eid goodie bags for children impacted by the deadly attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. Following the May 18 mosque shooting, 17 year old Sarah Abdin launched a fundraiser that raised more than $2,000 and helped provide approximately 150 gift bags filled with toys, art supplies, treats, and activities. Her effort has become a symbol of hope, healing, and community support for Muslim children affected by tragedy.
